Today probably goes down as the best day so far on our trip. After breakfast we walked into town to look at the magnificent Hue Citadel. The ancient seat of the Nguyen dynasty covers a massive area just off the Perfume river. We strolled around in the heat and were even asked to have some photos taken by some other tourists.
After a peaceful day we crossed back over the bridge and sat waiting for darkness to take photos of the beautifully lit bridge.
Here we were approached by three lovely Vietnamese students who were keen to practice their English language skills with us. It was an enjoyable hour or so before we jumped in a cab to prepare for our next move tomorrow down to Hoi an.

ReplyDeleteThanks Laura. The bus ride wasn't too traumatic. Funny thing is you except things here that you wouldn't stand for at home. The bus was so small I could barely move my knees but you just learn to grin and bare it. Keep looking. Loads more to come. X
