My Son

Sunday 16th March 2014

After sweating through the night following a dodgy vegetable curry the last thing I wanted was to move around today. But we had another trip booked to My Son (pronounced  "Me Son).
On the first mini bus I felt my guts spinning and thought I had made a mistake with this trip.
We changed buses and made the 30 mile trip to My Son, This is a Unesco world Heritage site with ruins of temples dating back to the 2nd century.
Off on another Mini Bus

It was also a place bombed extensively by the Americans in the Vietnam war with parts of the site still off limits due to possible UXBs.

Deb again became a favourite to have her photos taken with Japanese tourists who find us Westerners a bit of a novelty. It has to be said they are so polite and well behaved but also show a great sense of fun and enjoy each other's company.

After the visit we were transferred by bus for the final part of the journey by boat back to Hoi An.
We have three more nights booked here. Although it's a lovely place perhaps it's one night too many.
After the craziness of Hanoi this place is a little to touristy for us both.

We finished off the day with a nice meal in "the Bees Knnes Resturant". Well recommended on trip advisor. We had two bottles of beer each, a main dish and a sweet for a total of about £11-12. Can't complain.
